Common Uses
Used for utility shelving in laundry rooms, garages, basements, workshops, pantries, and closets. Also suitable for built-in bookshelves, display shelving, and simple furniture projects where pine is the desired material.
Pro Tips
- For shelves spanning more than 36" without a centre support, sag becomes visible over time. Either add a centre support bracket, use a thicker shelf, or add a solid-wood edge strip to the front to stiffen the span.
- Seal all surfaces including the bottom and ends before installation, especially in moisture-prone areas. Unsealed pine absorbs moisture unevenly and cups.
